In­tel­lec­tu­al pro­per­ty (IP) makes today a sub­stan­ti­al asset in com­pa­nies (in­clu­ding SMEs and start-ups) and it is a cen­tral as­pect of com­pe­ti­tiven­ess. The­re­fo­re, the use but also the pro­tec­tion of in­tel­lec­tu­al pro­per­ty is of cru­ci­al im­port­an­ce. But what are the IP tools and how you might get deep in­sights about your field of ac­tivi­ties, your in­ven­ti­on and po­ten­ti­al com­pe­ti­tors? E.g. how can you iden­ti­fy who is ac­tive in the field and who might be a part­ner to co­ope­ra­te? The i-net Busi­ness Se­mi­nar about «In­tel­lec­tu­al Pro­per­ty In­tel­li­gence» will help you to an­s­wer these questions.

The in­tro­duc­tion into the world of IP and its tools will be given by André Braun, who is a che­mist and pa­tent at­tor­ney. Then, Dr. Jo­chen Spuck, che­mist and pa­tent ex­pert, will talk about the land­sca­ping IP se­arch, a new pro­duct of In­sti­tut für Geis­ti­ges Ei­gen­tum (IGE) pro­vi­ding know­ledge re­la­ted to other IP based on pa­tent re­la­ted da­ta­ba­ses and clas­ses. Mo­re­o­ver Dr. An­dre­as Gaus­s­mann will share his in­sights about IP stra­te­gy and ma­nage­ment in in­dus­try. Fi­nal­ly, the pre­sen­ters and other ex­perts in the field are avail­able for a panel dis­cus­sion mo­dera­ted by Bea­tus Hof­rich­ter, Con­Cep+ GmbH.

The work­shop is es­pe­cial­ly ad­dres­sed to in­di­vi­du­als and com­pa­nies from the Life Sci­en­ces plus sec­tor (phar­ma, bio­tech, med­tech, health­tech) since the pa­nel­lists re­pre­sent com­pa­nies from the field.
