About the event

We are pleased to introduce a new format of event to you: the Novartis science day. This format sets the focus on the scientific careers in industry and is geared towards scientific exchange.

This is your chance to get a break from the bench, highlight your research, get exposure and valuable feedback from scientists in industry. See what implications your work may have outside of your lab or institution and how it may be applied towards healthcare and biomedicine.

Senior students and Postdocs will have the unique chance to present their work in form of a poster presentation to scientists from Novartis that will be selected based on matching interests. The scientists from Novartis will then in turn present their work to the students, which will be followed by a networking lunch sponsored by Novartis.

In order to participate, please follow these steps:

• Talk to your professor and ask for consent to present your work at the Novartis science day. Please return to us the Agreement for Participation and Data Presentation form. All the work presented should be non-confidential.
• Send your abstract to BSSE-industry[at]bsse.ethz.ch (max 200 words)
• Be patient. Abstracts will be selected based on quality and topic of matching interest. We will inform you around mid October if your abstract was selected for presentation
• Prepare your poster and practice your pitch
