The Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) deals with the sanitary crisis by issuing recommendations about Covid-19. Everyone knows that. But the FOPH is also much more. It develops Switzerland’s health policy and works to ensure that the country has an efficient and affordable healthcare system in the long term. It represents the interests of Switzerland in health matters in international organizations and is responsible for research on humans and transplantation medicine, health promotion, radiation protection, regulations for chemicals and medicines and many other health domains. Come and meet three of their scientists, discover their background and tasks, and learn what the FOPH has to offer in terms of a multi-disciplinary and dynamic working environment.

The event will be held in a hybrid format: the speakers will join us in the Oppenheim seminar room at D-BSSE and stay around for further networking over an apero. For people who prefer to attend virtually, there will be a live stream on Zoom. Please note in your registration if you would like to attend the event in person. The number of spaces in the seminar room is limited and will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis – so be quick and make your registration right away!

If you are not affiliated with any Swiss university and would like to register for this event, please e-mail us (bsse-industry@bsse.ethz.ch) or use our contact form.
